New Year First Pilgrimage

This is a significant event for every one.  For some, it is a very spiritual rite, and in many cases, the occasion to make a wish more than making an offering.  For others, the New Year is a day of feasting.  Certainly that is the focus for Ikaruga.   As you can see, you will be given three options for your wish for the New Year. I now believe the best option always is to choose the wish that indicates self improvement.  This will vary depending on your choice of companion but you will receive both encouragement from him or her as well as a physical reward. This shows the First Pilgrimage with Kai. I originally thought the best option would be the first.  Perhaps it is but you gain no reward for that one and usually a reward indicates something positive. When I chose the third option, he was very pleased and gave me an Amethyst as reward to help me achieve my goal.  (Some of the superior Weapons and armour require an Amethyst.) Courting Ikaruga and Living with Him

Last updated on 15 November: We now are exploring the Foreat of Endings.  I made separate detailed walkthroughs for those Levels. I have to report that, so far, and admittedly it is early days, Ikariga is an exemplary husband for the most part.  Although he presents himself as such a serious individual, he makes a little gentle jest each morning when he hands me the lunch he made for me: Saying this, he actually jests a little about the magic he takes so seriously as well as his other passion, cooking. This post is a work in progress.  At first I was going to log my experiences with Ikaruga but only through the Orb, marry him.  Now, however, I am marrying him first in this particular game.  I have another file where I will leave my marital state open, but I feel I can move forward here to experience different marriages now. Note that until you go to the Fateweaver Shrine, propose and actually marry, you can still have romantic interaction...
