Restoring the Autumn Village Walkthrough
I awakened at 6.00 a.m. and found a dev zone below the Dragon Shrine where I could clear the rubble and plant crops. After this, I walked towards the God Shrine.
I found an abandoned destroyed house with a Frog inside. It gave me a Farming Tool Recipe, actually a decoration.
After ascending multiple stairs that went through this village, I came to the back of the shrine. Moving towards the front, I activated an event.
It was with Cuilang the Puppet Maker. He identified himself as such, claimed to know nothing of the god's whereabouts and told me to speak to Yachiyo. Curiously, when I spoke to her earlier, she was a little unpleasant, saying her Izakaya was NOT a shrine.
The new quest is to speak to Yachiyo between 7 and 10 p.m. so perhaps I should do my chores in Spring and Summer.
First though, walking back, I find another Frog next to a well for a Well Recipe.
I see on the Map there is another Frog on a circular path that embraces the god shrine so I go there and obtain:

Now, here is the situation:
The Summer Village really needs villagers to act as shopkeepers more than farmers initially. The reason is that the shops are standing empty along the high street. You only need to hire people.
I do have two villagers capable of runing a Smithy and acting as Carpenter. As I have both roles filled in Spring, I move them to Summer and ask Takumi to build a smithy and building for a Carpenter. Simply speaking to him raises him to Level 2 and he confides that: Someday I'll build the project of my dreams, and when I do you can bet I'll invite you to the roof raising.
I did not have enough Material Stone for a Carpenter shop. I spent some time in the Spring Wilds mining and fighting but still had to buy 20 from Takumi in the end. This was foolish. If I had not been in a new village today, my first act would have been to go to the Request Board. There are trading quests every day that give building materials in return for monster trophies.
I have done everything required to raise Spring Village to the next Level. I find Ulalaka at the izakaya in the Summer Village and she raises the Level to 6.

I go to the Request Board. I should have done that first in the morning. There are new quests to defeat Kappa, Toad, and tradjng Strong Claw gives me Kumber, Material Stone and Gold.
Likewise, trading Strong Horn gives me Fields, Corn Seeds and gold.
I run into Matsuri and get an unfortunate Request randomly. It is a Request for 3 Peaches. I do not have access to Peaches yet so I back off from that.
Ukalaka on the other hand gives ne an easy one:

When I simply speak to her, she goes to Level 4.
We now can have dinner together.
A new Bonding Quest is avaikable with her: Go to Iroha's Teahouse between 6 am and 10 pm
Meanwhile I go to the Summer Shores to defeat monsters to complete Requests. I find a Jizo Shrine I missed at the end of the beach on a little group of rocks.
I then go up the incline to save at the Open Pavilion. We defeat all Monsters, there in the covered alcove and then cross the Hanging Bridge for mining and to hunt down the rest of the Toad Samurais needed.
It is 7. Time to find the Autumn God at the Yachiyo ikazaya.
When I approach Yachiyo, I am told the event will end only at 10.00 p.m. I allow it to occur.
What follows is my first encounter with Kai.
This was the 8th of Spring.
At 11 p.m. I discovered there was somethibg called the 'Of Rice and Ruin Bundle'. It is a free DLC, which means an extra that must be downloaded. I did it to see when it will appear on my Ema Board. It is linked to the Autumn Village so I will include it here.
In the middle of the night, I receive a visitation:
??? You there. Awaken, you pest!
Me: Where am I?
??? This is your only warning.
Me: F-for what?
??? Abandon whatever ridiculous ideas HE may have planted in your head.
Me: 'He' who?
??? What difference does it make? You must stop that 'Mikoshi Melee' nonsense at any cost. Understood?
Here. Accept my sacred treasure. You may use it to handle any difficulties in my stead.
He throws the Sacred Fan at ne and disappears.
9 Spring:
Woolby: You saw the god of Autumn in your dreams?! And he gave you that fan. But he told you to stop the Mikoshi Melee? Something seems off about that. Maybe we ahould find that Kai guy and have another chat.
New quest to go to Ikazaya:
Talk to Kai (7 to 10 p.m.)
I go down to the dev zone and now can purify it, using the Sacred Fan. By unlocking the Great Gales and Tengu Winds Skill nodes, I can blast all Blightblooms here.
I can plant crops here but have not been made Village Chief so have no authority!
I go to Summer Village and use the Sacred Fan to purify the Blight that is next to my dev zone. I am poisoned in the process but use the Drum to heal. I could have used a bath ticket but I feel pressed for time.
I go to the Spring Village and use the Drum to speed growth and then Sword to harvest everything I can. I plant higher level seeds wherever I can. If the villagers plant, it probably would be Level 1 seeds
I go to Takumi and order the buildings that generate salt, sugar, vinegar. I wanted to order a Simple House but I am short on Material Stone.
I go to the board to find I complered the Quest to deliver a Quality Crop.
Deliver a Level 3 Turnip
Reward: 5 Vinegar, 1500 Gold
I talk to Croakie. I have found 38 Frogs. Need 50.
I go towards Iroha, thinking I can cook and trigger sn event.
Iroha: welcome to - oh Eugenia! Perfect timing!
Ulalaka tries to help as a god but I suggest she begin to see as a mortal as well.
I try to cook the Poultry & Egg Bowl Takumi requested but I need a Thigh. No one selling meat at the moment.
Just speaking to Hina raises her to Level 3
We go to the Summer Shores to complete Ena Quests by defeating Kappas and Toads.
Mauro: Whew! I'm glad that's settled. May you rest in peace.
I need to find Matsuri as level of village now can increase to Level 4.

While waiting for 7.00 p.m. to see Kai again, I go to Limestone Caverns and find a Frog I missed in my haste to retrieve the Sword.
It is on a little path to the left of the one that leads to the Boss Save Point and it gives a Bamboo Basket Recipe.
I speak to Kai. He tells me
'When they say don't push, shove! ... break the rules! When they tellyou to stop, go!
He then tells me to go find the missing mikoshi in the Mechanical Maze.
There is no save point at the entrance to the Mechanical maze. I defeat enemied and use the Drum to restore three trees in the initial courtyard and sweep the Jizo Shrine.
There is Purple Blight with a blue Blightbloom. Use Sword Dance to destroy it.
Moving forward, trigger a wall of flame and defeat oni archers, and a Colossal oni inter alia.
The next area has Tsnuki, Giant Hornets and Parasols.
Go round the corner to find Lantern Loonies.
There is a large dark shrine of sorts with a Frog in the left corner tgat gives you a Water Trough Recipe.
Taking the incline to thd next area, defeat two Parasols. In the next area more Tanuki, Lanterns and Parasols.
If you follow the herbs while collecting you find four plots with Sweet Potatoes and a Cosmos Flower.
Next, more Tanukis and Parasols but it is after 11 so I am going to bed somewhere!
10 Spring:
As much as I want to move forward to restore Autumn, I still have Spring and Summer.
I speed crops and harvest with the Sword in Spring dev area. I speak to Ulalaka and give her cherry blossoms, raising her level to 5. New quest of farming with Ulalaka
I am going to wait on that.
Instead, I clear all the blight from the third dev zone in Spring using the Sword and the Fan, then remove all the rubble. I go to the Summer Village and remove all the rubble there.
I used most of my RP on the Blight so go for a bath. Hina meets me and gives me Ice Cream.
Finally back to Autumn Fields. This time, I stop at the Wayside Shrine directly on the way to the Maze.

I return to the Maze Courtyard and this time outrun the enemies until I reach the last place I visited last night.
I restore a Tree and continue North.
Walk of Fire with a Colossal Oni. Once defeated I find a chest containing Silver and Vanadinite Fragmebt.
It is confusing but I finally get to an area with Green blight and Orcs. I use the Fan and then go throufh a door to continue
To the right now, green blight with Tanuki and bees. Blight net covers the next door. I use the fan then on the blightbloon and all blight disappears.
I go through the door and see a Save point on the left. Activate it and save.
There is a trader here with Tofu and Fried tofu.
I move forward into the actual Maze.
Here we need to find all the switches to finally reach the boss. The first is to the right of the big double doors. I hit it and it turns green. The door opens.
Moving forward, Tanuki drop down from the ceiling. Going forward activates a wall of flame. More Tanuki.
In this room, tapestry on the right. Slash it to reveal moving cogs.
I go through two rooms of cogs to a third containing Tanuki. There is a yellow fan to the rigbt. Activate it with the Sacred fan. The doors behind the fan open and a wall of flame appears. Tanuki lantern and parasol. Slash a tapestry in a corner to find a hidden Tanuki.
Forward across an arched bridge with a Neko and two Tanuki.
Next room has a Frog and Wayside Shrine.

Wayside Shrine gives Talismans of Gales Recipe.
Twisted Headband Recipe
A number of Tanuki. One hides behind crates with a chest containing Wind Crystal.
Go forward to activate a wall of flame.
Blue and Red onis and a Mystic Neko here.
Slash tapestry to the right for a roon with cogs.
There are little plarforms on the wall. One holds a switch. Activate it so that it goes from red to geeen.
That switch opens a door to another room with cogs. Another platform in this room with a switch
Activate it and move to a big room with a flower switch that is red. A wall of flame apoears blocking access. Defeat the Tanuki and turn the swirch green.
Turn round to find a room with Tanuki
After defeating them. jump up to a fan on either side and use Sacred Fan on both. A new door opens.
Another room with cogs and another switch on a platform. Activate it and see a door opens somewhere. Three switches that are at the main doubke doilors now are green.
Go to the room wirh the flowr switch. You will see that using the switch revolves the doors. You need the one on the left now where enemies (lanterns) still lurk to open.
When it does, it is another room with cogs and a switch on a platform. Acrivate the switch and see all four now are green. Make your way now up the central path to a Save Point. As you go forward, each set of double doors will open automatically.
Use the Cooking Fire to cook if needed and move all Cooked Dishes to your Inventory. Save again and go to fight a giant Tanuki.
It turns out to be Kotaro. The autumn god made him do it.
We return to the village and discuss the mikoshi the village must make. Cuilang needs Lumber, material stone and iron. I give them all to him. Now Yachiyo makes me Village chief telling me to build homes and bring more people to carry the mikoshi.
The Sakuna quest of rice and ruin is activated.
11 Spring:
Annoyingly, Woolby tells me there are not enough homes. Well, of course not. I had to move one from Spring to Autumn at 11 last night because there were NONE there.
Built two Simple Houses but then run into Ulalaka's Event by accident.
I then placed a Simpke House both in Spring and one in Autumn anf moved a vilkager inti Autumn from Spring to obtain the 6 required.
I speak to Yachiyo who says we can hold the festival whenever I sm ready.
The mikoshi is built but we are told to rest now to be ready for the festival tomorrow.
Went back to Maze to defeat Tanuki with Sakuna. Adding her to your Party is a Quest.
I had neglected a switch next to a door. After going through the cog room, I found it and now can move straight through the main path. Shrine with thatched roof in alcove behind tapestry gave Silver.
A side cog room had a wall of flame round a chest on a platform that contained a scroll of Kirin.
I go to Jizo Trio to defeat onis for Sakuna's Quest and use Sword Dance to clear the blight on the hill.
Chest contains Path. New Save point is Wayside Shrine Area.
To the right, Wayside Shrine gives

I go down the hill to the left, fight a red oni who in fact is a Villager thereby rescued.
Revive two Apple trees and receive Apple saplings.
Clean Jizo Shrine.
Frog to the left of apple trees has Apple Pie Recipe.
Chest contains Kirin Scroll.
Another Apple Tree revived.
I spent some time building and organising decorations for all three Villages, then entered autumn Fields briefly.
To the right going forward, revive trees that prove to be Grape and collect saplings.
New Quest on the Board:

Reward: 5 Healing Potion, 5 Active Concoction, 1500 Gold
This is a random event when you have sufficient Friendship with some one.
After 11 and Kai still stands in the Square between the two mikoshi chariots. Every one else has gone home.
11 Autumn:
Iroha reaches Level 3 and gices Maid Headbance recipe. After buying something, an event triggers:
She wants me to pass out flyers
Tsubame's level increased just by talking to her. It went to level 2 with celebrating her birthday with a Spirit Cluster.
The Flower Stall now sells the Crystal and Emery Flowers.
At noon, I go to the Autumn Plaza and rhe Mikoshi Melee enaues.
I have to confess Kai is magnificent here. We make a goid team. The God of Autumn flies out of his broken mikoshi and goes into the Autumn fields. We give chase.
I find a Frog that gives Seasoned Mixed Rice Recipe going west from the entrance.
A green bloomblight requires the Fan Dance.
I clean a Jizo Shrine going towards the bridge crossing the river.
I come to a Purple blightbloom requiring Sword Dance.
Restoring trees in my path.
I find the Maple Forest Save point and save.
I really want to reach the monster now but wander past a horse and at the edge of a cliff find a Frog giving Cheese Risotto Recipe.
I retrace my steps a little going down a hill finding green blightbloom.
I see the monster is ahead. I defeat oni archers now.
I find a new Save Point and save.
A trader is here selling tofu today.
I go into the arena. There are three Crow Tengu flanking the big bird. I have suffered multiple poison attacks from monsters on the way here. My energy is cut in half but I have no inclination to waste food. As Kai would say, I can take him! To add injury to insult, for some reason I had a talisman equipled as my secondaey weapon. Never bothered with one before and discover it is not very useful for shooting birds from the sky. We are victorious, however.
Kau appears and telks Kurama he should be happy to be breathing some fresh air at last. Kurama reacts by hurling him into the sky.
We return to the village where Kurama forgives me for being part of the mikoshi business, tells me to act wirh his authority and continue to the next village.
I need to go instantly to the Dragon Shrine to initiate an event with Yachiyo. She persuades me to become village chief. This event leads immediately to one where we see Kotaro dejected in front of a neglected barn. Kurama appears and tells ME to start filling barns with monsters. He is an arrogant creature!!!
It is 7 at night and I have a quest to tame a Buffamoo. I really want to start to bond with Kai but he has vanished from the map completely.
I disbanded my party, tamed a buffamoo with a strong horn, red oni with cheap cloth and water wisp with a curse cluster.
I cannot go to winter yet tonight. I found the Mushroom island in the sky and had a few appraised.
It is almost 11 but Kotaro is waiting. He runs off to meet the new monsters and Yachiyo gives me a Barn recipe.
She then gives me a Rice Paddy Recipe, Waterway Recipe, Rice Seedlings.
Kai now appears, seated at his usual spot.
Kai: Yo! Nice timing! Want to join me for a drink? Your treat, right?
His Profile appears in the Camp Menu but I cannot interact with him yet.

I go yp to the area where Sakuna has planted rive, add more. I need Woolby to produce the extra waterways denanded. Although it is late, he tells me to report to Kurama who is waiting outside his shrine. He anjoubces his divinity is returning and increases Village Level to 2, giving ne Elegant House and Windmill Recipes as well as Feed Pail Recipe.
Woolby challenges him and another little event occurs. We announc we are going on to the next village.

With all I did previously, Village Level can increae to Level 4 so Kurana, still there does that and then formally introduces hinself. I now can chat to him. Kai, however, still refuses interactions.
Although it was after 11. I mounted the White Dragon, found the Winter Village and descended.
I was met by Pilika who tried to shoot Woolby. I plucked the arrow from the air, explained who we were and our quest. After telling us about the man-eating wolf, and meeting Zaza, we were told to speak to Waterase. This event left me far both from the Entrance and from Wataease. It was after midnight and I was bleeding out energy, never replenished, so at the halfway point. I found the pin on the map and simply catapulted down to Watarase's house. Experienced an event, was given a Simple Fishing Rod, the Pescapedia and a new quest of Wolves and ...
Bed long overdue. I simply warped to the Winter Dragon Shrine, saved and went to sleep.
N.B. For the Green Blight in the corner of the Courtyard of the Mechanical Maze, I stood on the mouth of the closest cannon and used the Fan from a distance.
