Restoring the Winter Village Walkthrough

13 Spring.  Awakened in the Winter Dragon Shrine.  I walked down the path and found a Frog who gave me a Wooden Sign Recipe.

I have a hard time navigating to the Village Entrance and the Save Point which I activated.  It is almost half past seven now becsuse of wasted steps!

So much work to do!  Some is on the Board.

I need to assign a villager to herding in Autumn. 

Aspiring Rancher Quest  Reward 1 Butter and 1500 Gold.  I do it.  None of them love animals.  I have yet to get one who could serve as a Carpenter!

I need to claim my reward for constructing and placing a Sugar Refinery.  It is a Vinegar Distillery Recipe.

The people of Sumner Village are unhappy.  Probably because some of the shops remain shut.  I fix that by assigning more farmers to shops.

I need to assess the values of various buildings and decorations now.

My first Orange tree is ready for harvest after I use the Drum.

Let there be Fruit Quest completed.

1 Mandarin Orange for 5 Agar Powder and 1000 Gold.

I am lacking only 1 point for the next level in Sumner.

I go to Autumn and place a Windmill.

I had learned the Divine Fan Dance so received the Rewards.

I upgrade my mining hammer and receive 5 Rice and sone gold.

I construct and place an Elegant House in Summer.

I finally go to the Winter Wilds.  Down the hill fighting onis and Mushsprites, then Woolies.

I restore a number of cedar trees, then to the left into a Snow Dome where after defeating sleeping Woolies I find a Frog with a Thatched Roof Cottage Recipe.

I then go to the waterfall where Woolby orders me to fish.  

I have an event with Clarice who is distrsssed about a weak Woolie.  I use the Drum to restore it and then warp to Watarase's House to give him the Pond Smelt I caught.  He tells me to rest and return tomorrow for a list of other places the wolf might be found.

I disband my Party to find a Cluckadoodle to tame.  Save at Jizo Trio.

I tame the Cluckadoodle with Strong Fketch and the Wooly with M Fur.

Reward is Sandwich Recipe,  5 Flour, 1500 Gold.

New Quest now to tame a Horse.

Reward is Carrot x 3, 1500 Gold

I decide to hunt for Frogs in Autumn Wilds.  Go right and battle a Tanuki and a couple of others to reach a Frog beneath an open hut.  Gives Mushroom Sauté Recipe, Mushroom Soup Recipe, Mushroom Rice Recipe and Mushroom Curry Recipe.

There is a large net of Purple Blight with a Blightbloom in the centre.  I climb up the platforms of a windmill until I can jump into the centre and use the Sword Dance on the bloom.

Further there is a huge Green net of Blight with another windmill nearby and a blightbloom in the centre.  Again I climb the wooden pkatfoems and leap down to use, this time, the Sacred Fan on the blightbloon.

There is a Dusk Tengu near a Red Blight net I cannot dispel at this point.  Instead I find a new Save point and activate that.  It is the Lighthouse.

There is a Jizo Shrine to clean to the left.  Moving forward a little, a Frog that gives Girella Carpaccio, Snapper Carpaccio.

Moving down and to the left, I climb another windmill to find a chest containing Earth Crystal.

Near the entrance to the Mechanical Maze courtyard, I defeat a Monster, Tanuki I think, to find it was a villager and finally one who can act as Carpenter!

I warp to the Western Knoll where I found Kurama, then backtrack to the area where I recall passing a Bucking Bronco.  I give it Strong Fur, then find a new Save point, activate and save at Pampas Plains.  Close by under an Eerie Torii arch is a chest containing Wooden Path.

I go to the Autumn Dragon Shrine.  I move the new rescued Carpenter from Autumn to Summer where I have an empty Carpenter shop.  Can change that tomorrow if need be.

Kai is nowhere in any of the villages now 

I warp quickly to the Winter Dragon Shrine to sleep.

In the middle of the night, a visitation:

Excuse me.. 

It was the Winter God, showing me his White Wolf form and begging me to kill him before he hurt any one.  Then he gave me his Sacred Parasol.

14 Spring:

I go ro Watarase's House as he requested and experience a little event with him, Zaza and Pilika

Find the three gold pins of the watering holes.  At the site of the 1st, choose Inspect to discover he has not been here.

I move past any enemies until I reach the Red blight.  Now that I have the Parasol, I can clear it 

I then use the Parasol to coast across the abyss that once had a bridge.  I activate a new Save point on the far size and save.  It is the Broken Bridge.

I move north towards the 2nd gold pin, in front of a large waterfall and again choose Inspect.

Going towards the right, I find a wolf statue that allows me to Inspect.  There are a couple of these up here.

I take a small detour to find a Frog and am given Grilled Pond Smelt Recipe

I find and activate a new Save point.  It is the Crevasse.

I move straight towards the last gold pin.  I find a block of ice I melt with the sword revealing a wind vent.  I ascend and find many Snow Domes.  Two contain Crops: Napa Cabbage and Radish.  The 3rd a Cookfire.  I find the Winter Onigiri hole in this area.

Do not have the onigiri it wants.   

We go up an icy incline to a Wayside Shrine that gives recipes for:

Stone Splicer

Wakizashi

Horned Bow

There are four plots near the watering hole that contsins Leeks.

I find the pin and Inspect.

We realise the Wolf is not here either.

Waterase calls out.

Now we need to go to one last watering hole.  At the crevasse a wind has appeared that we can use with the Parasol.

We glide across and up after cooking and shifting all cooked dishes to inventory.  On the far side a Frog gives

Red blight obstructs the path and I use the aparasol.

I drop down to face one more red blight and there is wateraze.  He laughs and says he forgot to menrion that additional watering hole.   We suspect the omission was deliberate but why?  There is red blight I must clear to enter the vortex leading to the next area.  A new save point to the left: to White Wolf Mountain.

I move quickly avoiding enemies (because I wabt to finish this tonight)  until we are held in a ring of fkane.  After I finf a Frog behind an ice curtain guliving

In Autumn, I clear all the blight from the dev zone.

When I go to Winter, I experience an event.

Zaza gave me two recipes for a Chemist and Udon Cart Recipes.

I cleared the blight from Dev 1 Zone in Winter.  I placed a Simple House but need a chemist.

I am the new village chief here.

15 Spring:

When I qent to Takumi to build the Udon Cart and Chemist, I ean into an unexpected snag: I do not hqve the nateriaks needed!  Building homes took it all last night.  The limit on buying is 20 of each.  So I had him make the Udon Cart.  Gope to have a Chemust built by the end of the day.

On the board tgat cqn be completed instantly:

Defeating another Mushsprite gives 30 Lumber and 20 M. Stone with 300 Gold.

Wolf Hunt to defeat 5 gives 20 Lumber, 10 M Stone and 150 Gold.

There are two trading quests to deliver 5 Quality Thread: 1 for 30 Lumber, 20 Material Stone, the other for 20 Lumber, 30 Material Stone.  I see my job today is to battle the Spiders in the mountains of Winter.

A more pleasant task will be to see Kurama.  Autumn Village is ready for a Level increase.  I need to begin to make friends with him.  I expwct beneath it all, he is sweeter than he first appears.

I see Croakie first and he telks me I have foubd 53 Frogs.

Tsubame is at Autumn entrance today.  She now sells Chocolate, inter alia.  She requested the Sandwich I had made in anticipation of woeking on friendship with Kurama so I gave it to her instead.

What the deuce?!  I warp to Winter and see thqt Kurama has emerged from his hole and is up by the Izakaya.  I go to him, hoping I have a secobd Sandwich, but no!  I gave the obly onr to Tsuname.  

I bqckpedal and chat instead, then rush to the izakaya to make a bloody sandwich.  It us unmanned of course!  I go to the list of vilkagers and quickly assign an old man to it.  We make a Sandwich for aKurama.  I hope he has not disappwared.  Finally a bit of luck.  He is there and the gift of the Sandwich has a big impact, dragging him up to Level 1.  Noe if only Kai were to appear.  I have been carrying expensive Azuma Sake for days, awaiting a real interaction.

This Izakaya actually sells all the Meats so I finally am able to make the Poultry & Egg Bowl requested by Takumi days ago.  I guess I should delver it, but perhaps I can get the materials to build something first.

I get a few Lumber and Material Stone after using the Parasol on the red blight spewing flames on the path near the izakaya and clearing all the rubble.

I go to White Wolf Mountain depths and work my way down this tine, fighting the Grizzley Bear, some Wolves, onis and archers.  I shoot out the three Yoichi targets now and he appears and gives me 3 Eggplants.  I show enthusiasm because this means everyrhibg to him for some reason.

More Onis and arxhers than Spiders so far.  Two poison spiders but they do not give me what I need.  I do eliminate a red blight with the parasol.  Oddly Oni were warming themsevlves there by the flames.

Open an alcove by breakinf ice with the sword to meet a afreezing Tengu and open a chest containing silver and vanadinite.  A crate contains crops and seeds.

We vattke Snow Wolves, Kapoas abd Mushsprites, compketing two combat requests.  I restore two trees.

There is a Frog here that gives Spinach Saute Recipe.  A Jizo Shrine to the left of it.

More Spiders and Mushsprites.  Unfortunately they all give Strong Thread instead of Quality Thread 

It is alnost 5 in the evening.  Going back to a Request Board to collect rewards.  I go to the Winter entrance yo do tgat because I still need to meet Fubuki, Watarase and Zaza formally.

Fubuki likes Bacon and Pilija likea Honey.  Both like Salmon but no time for that now.  Gave the Bacon and Honey.

It has been a productive day.  I lea Dr ned the Tengu Wibds si tgat request gives 5 Squid and 2000 Gokd.

Reminding me I need to build a Chemist Shop!

I went to Tajumi and built a Chemist, thatched Roof Cottage and  Udon Stall.  As directed, I placed them all near the Permafrost Izakaya.

Went to Fubuki earlier and gave him Bacon raising his Level.  Spoke to him now and he raised the Village  Level.

Spoke to him again and he raised it to Level 4.

I did remember to put a vilkager on the Udon cart.  There is no one who can act as Chemist and still two Carpenters short but it is a good result in the middle of Spring!

Kai is at Yachiyo's after 5 but I still cannot interact with him.

There was a little event with Fubuki where he remarked that all four villages had been restored but he felt Ulalaka would want more.  He told he to wait for her summons.

I think Level 4 unlocked fishing as a villager job.

I only had four villagers in Winter and two are slackers.  I guess I will wait though before I evict them and now there is a higher level, move a couple from Spring where they tend to gravitate.

I have an Empty Barn in Wibter.  Perhaps I will tame a Bee although I do not think they are found much at night. Wait until morning for that.

I felt bad I had not hung out with Zaza so I  wwnt  bacj and gqve her airon.  Ahe instabtly wenr to Level 1.  I only spokw to het agqin and blushing, she went to Level 2.  Now she tokd me you have to step away from the forve once in awhile to see the world.  

A srrange result.  Now she dis precisely that, moving only a step from the forge but there no longer was any option to ask her to work!

I had to summon her from the sign to get her to do anything.  I decided to make a better Pauldron even though I had to sell a few rare metals and fragments to afford the price.

Befi f e ved U returned to the Wibrer wilds trying to reach the Forest arwa qnd activate Sabe Points.  Sonwhow one of us rescued a villager who can be a carpenter.  It was at a place close to the first Snow Dome.

I go to the Spring Shrine ro sleep to be convebient fir tomorrow.  I alwatkys go to the Shipping Shed before bed.  I do that and see an exclanation loint on the other side of the large rock next to the cliset chery tree.  When I investigate an event with Mauro triggers.
