Favourite Gifts for Characters
Note on Christmas Day:
I will add items to the Lists as time permits. Bonding is easily achieved in this game, however. You can invite an individual to join you for a meal at Iroha's or Yachiyo's and in most cases, that will raise Friendship considerably. The only issue with that is that choosing it repeatedly will prompt remarks about how much you like to eat!
Gift giving is a quest in itself is a subsidiary quest in Guardians of Azuma should you choose to perform it. There is a Profile section in the Menu where each character has a detailed Profile with entries for gifts Loved and Liked, and Activities liked or hated. There are little details as well about each character's personality and history.
In this game, the most favourite gifts very often are the dishes one can make with another character, unlocked at Bonding Level 6.
When you have reached Level 6 AND have the basic Recipe for the dish, you need to press the minus sign when you highlight the dish that can be altered. A little menu with the icon of each Profile character will appear and the one who can cook the new dish with you will have a chef hat icon.
Cooking together always is a little mini-event.
Essentially though, many of these most favourite items are not availwble early in the game. Giving something thr individual actually simply likes is good enough. Indeed without ever giving a Most Loved item, you can raise Bonding Levels fairly quickly.
Rather amazingly, in many cases, the first time you use a specific social interaction like Sharing a Parasol, you will experience a little mini event unique to the individual. The one with Ikaruga is particularly charming.
Simply greeting an individual increases Bonding a little. Adding an individual to your Party to take into battle will increase Bonding a little. When points increase from a gift, you will see a flood of hearts rising behind the individual. In other situations, a little notification will appear.
Bonding increases always occur as Point increases.
Almost every one responds positively to a gift of Cherry Blossoms. It is an excellent choice at the start when you have few Recipes.
You can knock out a few Cherry Blossoms with Lumber daily by hitting the Cherry Trees growing along the roads. Going into the Spring Wilds and hitting Cherry Trees there randomly yields Cherry Blosdoms as well. You will not obtain them from trees planted in your Development Zones.
Likewise, the Wisteria blossoms that are an essrntial ingredient in making the Sacred Drink required for marriage cannot be obtained from Wisteria Trees planted in a development zone. You only can harvest them randomly from the village wilds or sky islands. They are trees that are found in Spring landscapes.
Dango in its different varieties is very popular as well. You can buy Dango and Tricolour Dango from Iroha. There are very few who do not like it. Once you have the recipes, you can make them yourself.
(Although you can grow Sticky Rice, you cannot make Rice Flour. Other basic ingredients like Flour likewise must be purchased. I have a post the lists the items sold at every shop or stall. Iroha does sell Rice aflour as well as a couple of varieties of Dango.)
A traditional offering to gods is Sake or other Alcohol. The love of the Azuma gods for Alcoholic Drinks stems from that tradition. You can buy Azuma Sake ubtil you have the Recipe.
Hibiscus can be found off one of the rock dormations in the Summer Shores, but you can buy it at a Flower Stand daily. There are limits on every purchase, but you can buy 3 at any Stand. If you need more, go to the sqme stall in a different Village. The same applies if you need aLumber or Material Stone. You can buy 20 of each from any Smithy daily.
Other interactions add or decrease points in Friendship. Every invividual likes different activities. Some activities are unlocked only if you confess: 'I love you' to an individual.
As in all the Harvest Moon and Rune Factory games, the verbal response to a gift indicates its value in terms of raiding or lowering Bonding points. I do think that only a few of each are added to the lists in the Profile Menu.
Iroha:
'Wow, you knew exactly what I wanted! You're so observant!
Or:
'I can have this? Seriously?! Awesome! I'll take gpod care of it, I promise!

Monster Taming Gifts:
Curiously, some Monsters will not be tamed with the same item that tamed one of their brethren. I have experienced this more thwn omce with two monsters of the same type in the same location.
Generally speaking, however, the ordinary Monsters are tamed using the Strong Level of the favoured item rather than one of the highest value. In most cases, the Mysterious
form fails to tame the Monster.
Here I will state that all four of the Story of Seasons animals you are asked to tame will respond favourably to a Weed.
Taming gifts:
Cluckadoodle and its kin: The various 'chicken' Monsters, usually Strong Fletch
For Buffamoo and kin: usually Strong Horn
Black Oni: usually Quality Horn
Black Oni Archer, FoE 9: Exquisite Fabric
Snow Wolf: usually Strong Fur
Tameable Bosses:
For the White Wolf: Ice Crystal
For Nine-Tails: Bell
