Reliving Battles

There is one battle that yields unique items needed to forge the best weapons.

After you rescue Subaru, you can return to the Spring Kagura Shrine to relive the battle with the Black Dragon.  The items you can obtain here and nowhere else are White Dragon Fur and Black Dragon Shards.

You can fight here once daily.
Note that the 'bosses' in the Forest of Endings are available to fight only once.

Until you have access to these Recipes, the best Recipes for weapons and gear come from Clarice.  That means you have to vanquish her and Mihoshi Habaki at the Dragon's Tomb.
You really can do very well with lesser weapons and gear, however.

I think the best strategy is to use the Sacred Treasures as much as possible onna daily basis and unlocking new Skill Nodes.  Fighting with traditional weapons is fine, but the Sacred Treasures have other applications.  Removing blight and healing are so much easier if you have increased the powers of the Sacred Treasures.

You only obtain 2 points towards the next level by reliving a battle with a boss.  Any enemy you defeat gives you 1 point.  

Note that the items you receive are: White Dragon Fur, Black Dragon Scales, and Dark Crystals but the numbers of each are random always.

Goldblossom Mines:
  Boss:  The Hound at Lv 75
Always gives a Diamond
Only 2 points for fighting him again

Gale Pass:  
  Boss: Grudge Knight, Lv 45

Pridomer Island, Outside Twilight Gaol:
Nine-Tails, Lv 45
  Gives Aquamarine and her Bell

How the Fateweaver Shrine Fates work in Guardians of Azuma

I read descriptions about this.  I read opinions of players who had different reasons for wanting or not wanting to do it. I am the sort of player who has back up files.  I saved a file at the point of planting the Plum Sapling where every eligible candidate was at Level 10, had gone through all Bonding Events and would accept my proposal if I made one. I went forward from there and married Kai, and had two children with him.  At this point, the game was given an update with new rewards and ability to increase Bond Levels.  In the file where I was married to Kai, I raised every character with a Profile to Level 12 to obtain a Life-sized Cut Out Recipe.
