Preparing to Party, Bringing Kanata Back to Azuma, an Outline of the Timeline

On 13 Summer, I decided to move forward again with the Main Quest to save Azuma.
This needs to be as precise as possible.
My aim is as follows: to document the fastest path to victory.
At the same time, I wanted to revive all the gods in time for the Fireworks Festival on the 20th of Summer.  
This was accomplished on the night of the 17th and the Meeting of the Gofs was held at the Winter Shrine.

For four days then, I left the Shrine at 6.00 a.m., went at once to the skies and spent all of my waking hours in combat, battling theough the dungeons.

This means I rather neglected all other aspects of life during that period.  I was at Level 7 at least with most of the eligible candidates in Azuma.  The lowest were Iroha and Pilika at Level 5.  Iroha still asked if I wished to attend the Festival with her this morning on the 18th..
I was working fairly steadily on raising the Levels of all four Villages.  On the night of the drunken Party that set events in motion, Spring Village was halfway to Level 10 and the other three were at Level 8.  Summer lacks only 6 XP to reach Level 9.  I will discuss this in another post about Village Levels.

As far as the Fireworks Festival is concerned, there are rwo new candidates I peobably would not be able to ask: Subaru and Kanaka.  I peobably made a tacticql wrror yesterday in failing to take a break to give each a half hour and a favouritr gift 
This morning was my first ordinary interaction with Subaru who is working with Tsubame at the Early Bird Boutique.
Speaking to him and giving him Sushi Platter Small raised him to Level 2.  I need to find Kanata and give her Sake.  Although one can make the Invitation on the actual day of any Festival, I doubt their Levels will be high enough. It is not the end of the world but I consider it a small tactical error.

I could not have moved much faster through the dungeons with the Holy Shrines even if I were absokutely spot on with every maze and puzzle.
What I might have done was move forward earlier than 13 Winter.
Guardians of Azuma cannot be reduced to its Main Quests, however.  I never wasted days or hours.  I did waste 50,000 Gold by not spending it before I went off to use the Amulet of Sacrifive to save Subaru's life, but Gold flows into my coffers daily even if I personally do vert little.  In fact, I try to accept every Ema quest I can.  My hqbit is to go to the Bosrd once in the morbing and afain, begore I end the day.  I also access the Shipping Bin before I go to bed.  Aftwr my experiwnce with the Quick Meal Cooking Contesr where every ingredient at Level 1 was a liability, I tey to winnow out those items if a higher level Crop has been harvested that day.

Note here that the villagers oftwn will plant Level 1 Crops if you do not take the initiative and plant seeds that you have.
Sakuna likewise plants massive quantities of Level 1 Rice.  It is a good steady source of income but allow it always to be shipped so that the Steamed Rice you need is of a higher level.


Essentially what must occur here are the following Events:

Preparing to Party 1:
Kai was standing on a high plateau outside the Summer Dragon Shrine and the Gold Pin was there.  He gave me the Orochi Killer Recipe and told me to report to him after making it.  He then took the drink from me and told me to speak to Ulalaka.

Ulalaka was in the middle of the Summer Village even though it was after 10 p.m.
She gave me three recipes and told me to make these three dishes and give them to her.

Preparing to Party 2
Give Ulalaka 1 of each of the folliwing:
Omelet Rice
Hamburg Steak
Handmade Gratin

A Heavenly Party
Talk to Matsuri, Have at least 14 Villagers in Summer Village, Talk to Matsuri between 7 and 11 p.m.

Breaking the Barrier
  Go to Spring Kagura Shrine

The Black Dragon and her Rider
  Go to the Epicentre and defeat the Black Dragon

Completing this results in the Gods going into their shrines to recover.  You need now to search for the Holy Shrines

Introduction to Guardians of Azuma Guide

Introduction: Please see my Walkthrough posts for a linear guide to this game. This is a complex and rewarding game.  I fell in love with the series when the first Rune Factory was released and my guides were being published by IGN.    How could one not love the idea of Harvest Moon that introduced a forge and combat?  Decades later, and a number of different handheld systems later, we have the greatest Rune Factory game since the incredible Rune Factory Frontier for the Wii.  In fact, it reminds me most of that game with similar beauty and rather profound emotional investment. Guardians of Azuma, although multi-layered and very complex, contains a wealth of tutorials and is much more forgiving in terms of goals. New Update gives new Development Zones and new Recipes

At Level 12, a new Reward from Kai: After building it, the Carpenter declares: Nice and solid, if I do say so myself! That will please his fans!  Even if one marries some one else, this lifesized figure can be the guardian of a shrine on your Development area.  I actually got to Level 12 with him today in my new game... but I am at maximum level with every one in my other gane so will be able to log new rewards from the update shortly. The new Spring and Summer Development zones are wonderful.  I need to push on in the new game to be able to complete my Walkthrough but I am eager to explore all the new options.
