Rakshasa Gorge

19 Summer:

I experienced three Bonding Events in quick succession before 10.00 a.m.

1. Murasame by walking out of the Spring Dragon Shrine into a marker,

2. Subaru by walking out of Kusatsu's into a marker

3.  Fubuki by walking into a marker inside the Winter Dragon Shrine

After interacting half the day to raise friendship levels and meeting Kai to hear how he felt about me, I began to fill in Save Points in the sky.  First to Omen Island where I found four plots of Golden Potatoes, then on to Arctic Iskand where the Rakshasa Gorge is located.

A strange action at Omen Island.  Walking past an unlit lantern, I automatically performed the Drum Dance and it was lit.

Take a wind upwards to find a little red hut with a chest containing RP Maga III.

Moving forward, a Hawk Tengu.

I am using the Sacred Sword here as a weapon.  It cut through Evil Sorcerwrs, Oni archers and the Hawk Tengu like a knife through butter.

There are four circles with white warp winds now.

The first took me to the chest I had opened.  The second took me to a place with no return.  I jumped down to a little area there.  There are different Tengus and Wisps and Evil sorcerers.

The third takes me to an area with another circular warp behind some bushes.  Instead of taking that, I head up a stairwsy with a Torii gate.  Arena with sleeping Woolies.

I tamed one with Medium Fur and tamed what I believe was a Jewelsqueek with Quality Fur.

20 Summer:

Today is the Fireworks Festival so only doing a little foraging and exploring.  I went to the Isle of Subtefuge and activated the Save Point.  Used the Sacred Fan to clear fog.  Chipsqueeks of every colour.  A circle of fire with three Tengus.

A chest that contained a Golden Turnip Seed.

Oddly, I had missed the four plots with Golden Pumpkins on Mushroom Island.  There are many Mushrooms on this island as well and a Jiso Shrine.

So now belatedly, I have all four types of Golden Seeds.  I have yet to find the Trader selling any, but the barrier is down so I can go to every Island.  I really do not think the trader ever sold them so far because I have looked every day.  Seedlings, yes.  Precious gems, yes.  Golden Crops, no.

Then to Scarecrow Island.  In the centre of a pool, an Island with a paddy containing about 9 Sticky Rice and a Frog that gives Sakura Mochi Recipe.

Another Frog up past two wind vents giving Peach Pie Recipe.

Did not reach the Save Point   It is almost 7....

If you want to have a real Festival atmosphere, and you want to go with a guy, choose Kai or Mauro, whether or not you wish to marry them!

Mauro is so enthusiastic and actually cries when he realises you made the Super Deluxe Yellow Firework.

Kai likewise is very appreciative of a Super Deluxe Purple Firework.

21 Summer: 

I am trying to harvest the totals of specific crops required to raise the Villages now to 9 and 10.

I have a date with Kai at noon.  I could be the 'Earth Dancer' now I believe if I had ignored the Contest I put on the Calebdsr as well as the Fireworks Festival, so this walkthrough is no longer the fastest way to beat the game.

I am trying to pull all elements forward equally.

I experienced an Event with Pilika I have been putting off for weeks.  Go to the Save Point of the Forest Entrance in Winter and then walk towards the marker.  You are searching, nor for Pilika, but for the Bear per vilkagers' request.  Pilika is seen and heard talking but no one else is visible.  Suddenly she tackles you to the ground.  A poisoned arrow barely missed you.  It was her trap. She never expected any one to venture so far into the mountains.

In the course of this event, you finally receive the formal portrait of Pilika with her description.  

In for a penny, in for a pound as they say.  I have another event to experience in the Winter Wilds now.  This one is the last bonding event with Fubuki.  You need to find the marker on the Map.  It is in the far north in the mountains.  I warped to the Broken Brudge Save Point then ran towards the northwest.  In this event, you search for the elusive mythical Winter Blossom and find it.  It is really too bad that there are no water decorations.  The floating ice lotus especially if lit as a lantern would be incredible.

I tamed the Tasaburo on Scarecrow Island with Exquisite Claw.

Weirdest thimg.  When I returned to Scarecrow Island, I had a direct path to the new Save Point unless I left tge game abruptly halfway there. Every other time in the past couple of days, I used warps and wind vents.

I am alone with Woolby, trying to see if there are any more Spiders, hanging in the air with the Parasol when he asks: 'Hey!  What do you think of me?  Be honest.'

I tell him he is kind of like a Pet.  Enraged, he shouts out his pedigree.

I found one more area with spiders today.  I csnnot tame the big red spider.  All of them were defeated at once and I was alone... so by my weapon.

I thought by being alone, I could tame them.

As I am alone, I will go now to Rakshasa Gorge.

Go straight ahead to a platform to hit another switch that opens another door.

I lit all the torches and collected seeds from all the crates.

Go ahead to move towards the large chamber on top left.

As you run forward the torches light automatically.

The Boss you encounter is Mesuki now Lv 80.  I lost almost no energy, fighting with the following:

Suigetsu

Adventurers Cap

Spring Rebotn

Lucky Loupe

Sacred Staff

And Sacred Staff equipped.

I could have much higher defence but had been wearing Mauro's Cap and Lucky Loupe to try to get rare items.

I go to the dais and hit the switch,  opening another door.

A Frog here next to the dais  gives one of my favourite decoration recipes: Palanquin Recipe.

I retrace my steps to the centre and go right now.  Chest contains Water Boost Maga III.

Torches light as I pass.  In the large empty chamber I face a Lv 80 Cursed Tree.

Go to dais, hit the Switch.  Frog beside it gives Chaos Edge Recioe.

I discovered something important.  In fighting these Level 80 bosses, I could hone my Sacred Skills.  The Cursed Tree always is a tough nut to crack.  I had three Gratins...

There was a a gold pin over my bed tonight.

22 Summer:

Now I can ask Kai on another date.  Just spesking to him raises him to Level 11.  I then ask him for a date.  He seems busy but he insists on meeting me at the Summer Gate at nokn on the 23rd.  Now ibstesdvof plying him with more alcohol, I choose to hold hands.

Again, there are a number of events I can ecperience.

Another with Pilika, one with Murasame, one with Kanata, one with Iroha and one with Subaru

I warp to the entranve to the Summer High Street and walk towards the marker in front of Tsubane's Stakl.  An event with Subaru.  He wants me to keep my distance.  He contrasts me as hero with himself as villain, a little resentment there...

The event ends at the Summer Dragon Shrine.

I find him at the beach and give him small Sushi Platter raisibg his friendship to 4.

I will now go to the Spring Dragon Shrine for Murasame's Event.

When I walk out of the Shrine, I have an Event where he announces he will sever ties witb the yoma and asjs for my support.  I give it unconditionally.

I rerurn to Rakshasa Gorge, moving towards the chamber on the left.  A chest contains an Emerald.

I move towards the dias to confront Level 80 Spectral Warrior.

He is a little tougher than before.

Again, not really caring about the effects to him, I use Sacred Treasures.  The one I do not use is the Parasol although it will need as much power as possible for the Demon Tower, one blight in particular.

I activate the switch on the dais and the Frog gives me

Holy Tempest Talismans Recipe.

Now to deal with the last chamber.

The chest contains Green Core.

I confront he White Wolf Level 80.  I use the Sacred Sword.  A battle between fire and ice.  Have to recover slne enwrgy a couple of times.  I acticate the switch and the Frog gibes me Exotic Sculpture Recipe.

I retrace my steps tk the centre, find a chest contsining Crimdon Jewel on the left.

I go through the doors for a chest containing Recovery Maga III and next to it a Frog that gives

Earring of the Unfaltering Recipe.

Going forward, I activate a new Save Point.

I encounter both Matsuri and Murasame and would be able to defeat both without resorting to a new technique, but the purpose of this is to teach it to me.  Ir is Kamunagi.

When I go home, I go to Croakie who rewards me for 150 Frogs with:

I never reached the Remote Island in this new game.  It is strange how I become anxious and then fail to jump at the right place or land too soon.  Tonight though I made it.

I save at the new Sabe Point and find a Frog nearby thay gives Veggie Stirfry Recipe.

I run along the beach and find red blight near some boats that requires the Parasol.

There is a wind vent here so I let it take me upward and then glide to rhe higher altitude where an Oni Bear awaits.

I climb a fallen log to find a chest that contains Rune Crystal.

I go down to the beach and find another wind vent behind a rock.  I use it to glide to another higher place where I finf foyr plots of puneapples and a Frof that gibes me

I find a Jizo Ahrine on the beach and sweep.  Time to go home.if I go to the marjer outaidw the Pwrmafrost Ikazaya I experience an event with Pilika and a Farmer who wants a bear killed.  Pilika says it has harmed no one and should be allowed to live.  I promise the farmer I will discover more.
