The Autumn Holy Shrine, Island of the Drowned, Palace of Serendipity
17 Summer:
Kurana came to me in a dream last night begging me to find the Autumn Shrine to revive both him and Kai. It was precisely what I intended to do.
The Autumn Holy Shrine is in the Palace of Serendipity on the Island of the Drowned.
Too confusing. I had activated another Bonding quest with Fubuki late last night so the Gold Pin kept landing on Winter Village instead. Reaching the Save Point for the Island of the Drowned can be tricky. Moreover somehow little Suzu had insinuated herself into my Party last night for that concert of hers and I am stuck with her now!
Enter the Palace of Serendipity.
This will not be a good walkthrough now. I will have to go through this all again.
It is a place like the Mechanical Maze with multiple switches to unlock doors. All sorts of moving platforms and gears. I got to the Holy Shrine by some miracle before the end of the day, fought and defeated Clarice. Surprisingly Suzu was quite helpful keeping my Party members alive. I will have to study this further.
A Wayside Shrine to the left has:
Smash Blade.
MechanIcal Bow
Spring Reborn
Two rooms of moving platforms. If you fall, a wall of flame.
Next room has colossal oni and others.
Go left for artillery and other enemies.
I have to move between boxes and fall into a place where i have to clear green blight then activate yellow fans. This turns switches green to open a door. I then must leap up on boxes of increasing height. Get to a place where there is a Frog that gives an Inari Statue.
I activate a switch that opened a door, then another
Now a Wayside Shrine that gives
Braveheart
Arcane Shadow Talismans
Autumn Hairpin
The final door is locked. Turn from it and look to the far left corner. You will see a switch on the highest platform. I used the parasol to leap to it.
It was after 10 p.m. when we went to the Holy Shrine. Somehow Fubuki made an appearance at the end. Asked us then to join him and the other gods for a Meeting at the Winter Shrine.
There are a couple of difficult Frog puzzles in Guardiams of Azuma. At least I found them difficult. I now feel that the more power one has with the Parasol before tackling any of rhese, the better.
The puzzling Frog in Serendipity is one you cqn see but not reach initially. You need to be in the chamber with the wind vent before you will be qble to reach it.
The first step is to look round intil you see a scroll gigh on the wall in the west, almost in the corner. Find the moving platfoem thqt will place you high rnough to slash it and then leap into the little cubbyhole that was behind it.
Look for the wind vent but fall rather than float upwards. There then will be little square platforms to leap across.
Activate the yellow fan and then, this time, use the new wind vent to float upwards to find a tiny chamber with a Frog that gibes you Wooden Stairs. In my firat gane to which ai finally returned to tie up all loose ends (and there were many), it was important mainly because it brought the Forg total to 190. By this confession, you will understand it was a conundrum I left behind unsolved when I was determined to complete the Main Quest to save Azuma.
There is nothing wrong wirh that strategy actually, although it would not be my choice now.
