Time to Rest, After the Revival of the Gods

18 Summer:

I spoke to Subaru for the first time after the event where he had awakened and is sweeping outside the Dragon Shrine.  No one said a word so far but Tsubame has hired him to work with her at the Early Bird Boutique.  I gave him a Small Sushi Platter and he instantly went to Level 2.  I need to find Kanata and do something similar.  She loves alcoholic drinks and I have all the Recipes now.  Over 1500 Gold back in the day at the shops, but really cheap to make!

Another tactical error, although this one was cauaed by memories of other lives in the past.  No wonder, if there is such a thing as reincarnation, our memories from past lives are erased!  It would drive one mad with the confusion.

So I hate to confess I never visited Bamboo Island.  I believe there is a sign at the very entrance to the Summer Shores requesting that you contact the Sage of Sweets.  I thought I had.. 

Now though I feel the frustration of not having the Dango Recipe after obtaining the Recipe for one of my favourite beautiful decorations:  the Lunar Dumplings.

I fly to an island nearby and then make a beeline

 for Bamboo Island.  I find two pots containing ingredients, then find the Save Point and Save.  Climb the stone stairs to find a Frog that gives you the Dango Recipe.  I could have done this on the 8th of Spring! If I had been more invested in raising heart levels for Iroha and Suzu, both of whom love dango, I would have done it earlier.  In any event, I am doing it now.  There is another post where I documented all the events related to the Sage of Sweets.  Actually, by waiting, I now can make Level 3 and Level 4 Dishes easily so it really does not hurt to wait.

As the name implies, you sometimes can find Bamboo Shoits here.  There is a little pond ahead where you may be lucky eboufh to catch rare fish and another Frog there tgat gives the Straw Wall Recipe.

To the right of the Pond is a girl to whom you should speak.  When I do, Woolby pipes up.

Woolby is annoyed: Finally!  This must be Bamboo Shoot Villa!  It's about dang time we found it!

Then: 'We looked EVERYWHERE!  Do you actually want people to come or not?

I do not know if I could have submitted Iroha's dango successfully but I went back briefly to Takumi to make them all into Lunar Dumplings instead.  I then made my own Level 2 Dangos and submitted one of those.  

I received the following Recipes:

Honey Toast

Pancakes

Time to find Kanata

Raised her to Level 1 with Sake.  She asked whom I was taking to the Festival but of course, no invite from her.

Kai was seated next to her... I have resisted so far any confessions of love to any one but I have a couple of days...

So I told him and made a date for 19 Summer.

Neither Kanata nor Kai made any mention of the fact that today is Mauro's birthday but Hisui did!  I had forgotten what with all the Sage of Sweets business!

Placing a simple Wooden Crate in a Summer Dev Xone made the Village eligible for an increase to Level 9.  I found Matsuri at the Spring God Shrine and she gave her blessing.

On Dual Shell Island, I found four plots of Golden Cabbage.  In the same location, Fallen Warrior, Buffamoo, and a brown Horse.

From there used the Parasol to reach a rock, then turned abd went up to a grassy mound with a Frog between two red lanterns that gave Smelling Salts Recipe.

I hop down ti a circle with a large woodwn hur.  From there find a wooden platform to jump using the Parasol to another area.  Here I find a large shallow pool.  Tgere are lotus blossons you must ipen with tge Drum Dance.  A lot of bees and an Oni Bear.  Up and to the right four plots that contain Golden Turnips.  I leap down from there to a gravel circle with a new Save Point and save.  It is 8 at night.

Murasame has been standing outside Sakaki's House all day.  I realised no dialogue about the Festival even woukd be posdible until I asked him about special training.  He tells me about Rakshasa Gorge, the 'Training from Hell'.

Then he invited me to the Fireworks Festival... the next two days will be difficult, constantly dodging these invitations.

I went to the Outer Isle and near a Bear defeated a Tanuki. 'Have mercy!' Came a waveeubg vouce.  A villager namrd Megumi for Summer Villager.  An old woman who produces little and is a big eater... probably missing human fare!

I found two Bamboo Shoots.

19 Summer:

I planted Golden Cabbage Seeds last night but I need them in all the Villages for Village Missions.

I lookwd for Kanata.  She was seated outside Cuilang's door oddly enough.  She went to Level 3 with Silverwine.  Her first Bomding event is available but no option to invite to the festival.

To experience the Bonding Event, I need to go to Heaven.

I the. Looked for Subaru.  The Early Bird Shop is not open today.  He was seated in a little hut near the Autuumn God Shrine.  He went to Level 3 with the small Sushi Platter.  It unlocked his first Bonding Event.  Requirement: go to the Early Bird Boutique between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The stall was not there but the Gold Pin was so I went there and experienced it.  2nd event unlocked, simply wait until tomorrow.

I am supposed to meet Kai at noon near the God Shrine.  I took a little time to give Pilika a gift which raised her to Level 6.  I met him a little late because of this but he made no allusion to that.

The events with Kai are curiously touching.  I decided to do these now because he does become unavailable from time to time.

I therefore asked him for a date and we will meet on the 21st.

His next Bonding Event now is unlocked.
