Isabel, Daughter of Kai
This is my first child with Kai in a new path created at the Orb. I thought she would be no different from the son we had who was bright and energetic in a different path but she is a little different.
It is interesting to see how Kai bonds with her instantly. When I chose the quiet studious daughter, he was unsettled by her and sad that she spent more time with Kurama than with him.
For those who have not had children yet, the following rules apply:
The first child will have yoir hair colour and your spouse's eyes.
The second child will have your eye colour and your spouses's hair and any distinguishing qualities such as horns or animal ears. This a second child with Kai will have the tiny beginning of horns and Fubuki's second child will have the ears of a wolf.
I think this is the incentive to have a second child actually!
I recently placed Kotaro in my Party with Kai and his constant positive affirmations in battle as well as obvious affection for him warms the heart.
It was Year 7 and she was born on 30 Autumn. The year became Year 12.
Every one is at least at Level 12 and my four villages are at Level 10.
I took Sakaki to the caves today and he disliked the experience. I hsve no idea why.
I saw that Kai was at home at noon.
He and Isabel both were having lunch. He did not invite me to join them because he gave me my packed lunch this morning.
The same Ema Quests to defeat specified Ebemies occur again and again.
They are focused on the following:
Defeat Onis
Defeat Oni Archers
Defeat Parasols
Defeat Lanterns
Defeat Buffamoo
Defeat Wolves
Defeat Horses
Level 5 of the Forest of Endings has Parasols and Lanterns, as does Level 3.
I obtained the elusive Golden Fletch from both of the Tengus near the midpoint of Level 5 in the top northwest section. Level 5 also is a Bamboo Forest where you can collect Bamboo both for cooking and planting.
There is a veritable enemy army near the end of Level 5 including at least five tengus: Hawk, Pheasant and Crow. They are joined by Bees, Mushsprites, Lanterns and Parasols.
Oni are in many different places as are Wolves.
Horses are found easily on Level 4 and Level 9 of the Forest of Endings.
Buffamoo are on Level 9.
1 Winter:
Isabel went to Level 3 today with a gift and a conversation afterwards. I have added her to my Party. She begins at Level 65 and is a Debuffer.
One of my favourite comments by Kai at night when I plan to go out after dinner:
And despite the fact that we are married now, I still experience a little thrill knowing how he feels about me.
On 2 Winter I believe, Isabel found the Heart Shards and I met Mihoshi Habaki to accept my duty on 3 Winter.
There is more dialogue concerning the daughter than there was for the son with the same personality unless I simply missed it. Isabel asks Ikaruga if she can hunt monsters with him and tells Fubuki she wishes to ride a wolf. Tsubame tells me aisabel wants to learn how to become a merchant.
Murasame says she wants lessons in using a sword.
At Level 6:
I think to myself that she definitely is Kai's daughter. For all his talk, he spends a lot of time at the God Shrines meditating or praying.
She will make different dishes as well from those made by her male counterpart. They use the same basic two Recipes I believe but in her hands, Castella Cake becomes: Sunny Castella Cake
Vegetable Juice becomes Hearty Healthy Juice
She is very invested in health and healing. Most of the reciprocal gifts from her have been Potions.
What was absolutely shocking however was her own reaction to the Hearty Healthy Drink she made with me. Wheb I gave one to her, she accused me of being 'mean'. And her Friendship Level actually appeares to decrease. Her Sunny Castella on the other hand is loved by her.
Many of the other characters speak of her ad enturous nature. She told Fubuki she wanted to ride a wolf so he asked for my permission to take her for a ride. Ikaruga tells me she has asked to accompany him on his next 'monster hunt'. This child is fearless. My studious little girl in my other life with Kai cried frequently although she was a good fighter when I took her with me.
I found my daughter at the beach in a darling bathing costume but she is beloved by all, so perhaps Tsubame gave it as a gift. I have no idea where she got it, however, in truth. Ironically, it is raining today in the Summer Village but here she is.
Absolutely the prettiest child I could imagine and Papa Kai speaks proudly of her.
My only issue with her is that she really hates the sprcial drink shevl made with me but she tends to reciprocate whrn I give her any gift with Mystery Potions and other Medicinal drinks so perhaps she is simply focused on my health!
25 Winter: When you are married, Woolby may speak of inviting 'some one' to 5hr vatious festivals but your only option is your spouse. I am not complaining. Every festival with Kai is positive and the celebratory ones really as 'a blast' with him. Kind of a pity our child must go her oen separate way
I took them all fishing.
And thought: 'Don't be koi now!'
I am becoming as bad as Waterase.
30 Winter: Isabel came with us to the Fateweaver Shrine this morning to pray for the second child Kai and I want to have together.
Isabel (Hana) makes Papa Kai very happy. In mu other life with Kai, I had a very different Isabel who was studiois and had dreams of becoming a writer. Poor Kai barely recognised her as his child. She had more in common with Kurama than with him. I felt terrible about that. Kai never wpuld neglect or refuse love to any child of his and yet he was uncomfortable and almost helpless. He sees himself a little I think in this daughter and it makes me very happy.
When Ulalaka today spoke of Kai 's 'loyal, caring nature', I was so pleased that he was appreciated by some.
