Fubuki and The Hound, with Courtship and Marriage

When he is a member of your Party and you land somewhere:
All right!  Off we go!  Shall we start with a nice jog?’

This puzzled me a little until I remembered he is a ‘dog’ and humans often take their dogs for a nice run or jog.  Fubuki is more dog than one might think.  Whether in battle or otherwise, he often will make little yelping sounds.

I have seen screenshots of the children you can have with Fubuki.  They are truly gorgeous. 

I have realised that where children are concerned, you are rewarded for waiting for the second child by having one that resembles your spouse.  The first child is ordinary.

I  was thrilled when, at Level 15, Fubuki gave me a Recipe for a Life-Sized Cutout of the Hound.  Today though, when I raised his Level to 16, I received a prompt to the effect that I could use the wardrobe to have him dress as the Hound at any Dragon Shrine.

I always found The Hound extremely attractive so this is kind of a fantasy made real for me!

When he reaches Level 17, he will give you the Recipe for The Hound's Cap.  It is the second most powerful headgear with Attack capability that Clarice's Commander's Cap lacks, but less defensive power.

I was married when this occurred, but I returned to the Orb to begin a new Fate.

I went to Fubuki and confessed my love.

 

Fubuki:  Pardon?  Er, how could you say something that shocking so casually?

Wait, perhaps it was a joke?  Ahaha, you really got me!

I’m not joking.

You’re … not?  Then do you truly mean what you said?

Yes, that’s how I honestly feel.  Have I just made things awkward between us…?

N-No, not in the slightest!  You simply caught me by surprise.  But why me?  You know so many other amazing people.

Obviously because I think you’re the most amazing of them all, Fubuki.

Guh…!

Fubuki?  Are you okay?

O-Of course, never been better!

… Anyway, thank you for telling me how you feel.  I’m astonished, but still very flattered.  Could I ask you to wait until 12.00 p.m. on 27 Summer for my answer?  I need time to come to terms with my own feelings.

Fubuki is a wonderful character, generous of heart and openly admiring of the accomplishments of others.  When he said this about Kai, I realised how attractive HE was in his own way.

His relationship with Clarice is very interesting.  I almost can see a romantic aspect to it.  If this were a game where your rivals married, Fubuki and Clarice would make a very loving mutually supportive couple.

So I met Fubuki for his answer and his words and feelings were surprising in their maturity and wisdom.  He looks young, but he is rather extraordinary as well as sweet.

Fubuki: Thank you for waiting, Eugenia.  

Me: Are you nervous?

Er, yes.  Perhaps a little.  This is all very new to me.  No one has ever declared their love for me before…

Me:  I’m sorry… I just had to tell you how ai feel.

Fubuki:  No need to apologize.  I’m genuinely delighted that you care so much for me.  Being that open and honest with some one else isn’t that easy..  You can never take back words once spoken.  Whatever their effect, you must deal with that outcome.  Which is why I’ve always struggled to voice my own feelings.  I fear how others might react.

Me:  Then why open up now?

Fubuki: Because of you, Eugenia.  You see me for who I actually am.  You never butter me up with empty compliments or tear me down with criticism.  Your presence is both a joy and a comfort.  I wish to bask in your radiance… forever.

But relying on you for everything would be the path of least resistance.  I must take the initiative, otherwise nothing will change.  So I’ve made up my mind.  I must face your feelings  - and my own - head on.  You always strive to better yourself.  I owe you the same amount of effort.  Therefore, allow me to express my wishes as well.  I still have much to learn as a god.  I have yet to achieve the others’ level of divinity.  However, I would do anything for you.  No obstacle is too great.

Eugenia, will you please be mine?

Me: Forever and always.

(I wonder what would happen if I chose: I like you, but… I really need more time.)

Fubuki: …!

Me: Um, Fubuki?

Fubuki:  Oh, sorry about that.  I was simply struck speechless with happiness…. So this is what it means to open your heart to some one… I feel like I’m walking on air.

Suddenly I feel very guilty because here is this dear sweet boy and I am making him dress like the Hound to increase the thrill of it all.

Me:  Since this is uncharted territory for both of us. Why don’t we change up the way we refer to each other as well?

Fubuki:  You mean give each other nicknames?  Yes, that sounds wonderful.

I ask him to call me Beloved.  No one ever likes that much for some reason.

Fubuki:  You actually want me to say that within earshot of others?!  Argh… I just might die of embarrassment…. All right.  However embarrassing it may sound, I look forward to calling you that… Beloved.

In the first actual date, he has planned something special but an avalanche prevents it from occurring easily.  He transforms into his wolf form to carry you over the snow.  Monsters attack and he appears almost to perish.  You use your Dance of Bonds to bring him back to you.  You both recover a little in the Secret Hot Spring on the island in the Winter wilds.

You must wait a day before asking him on the next date.  He says he will meet you at noon at the Winter Shrine.  You will find only an exclamation point at the Torii Arch.  Walk into it to trigger the event.  Fubuki needs a new comb.  His has snapped.  You visit Zaza first but it is not the sort of item she makes ordinarily.  You go to the Summer Village to find Tsubame and she has a perfect comb.  She is willing to give it as a gift if you recommend her shop.  

You comb his tail and in bliss, he falls asleep.  You do not wake him..

The event ends with you outside Dev Area 2.
