Ema Plaques for new Players

​This is not a post for a veteran player, but even I missed opportunities by not accessing the Ema Plaque Requests more from the very start.

You need to accept a Request to make it count.  I performed many necessary actions early in the game without seeing there was a Request on the board.


Now that there is a song of Seasons free download, you can gain many benefits by accepting those requests as soon as they appear.


Today I am in the process of restoring the Summer village and a requirement for the main quest is to build and place a General Store and a Teahouse.


When I went to the Request Board, a new Request appeared:


When I accepted the Request, I actually was given a Mandarin Seedling to plant.

Meanwhile, I was able to obtain a Cow in Spring and a Chicken in Summer as soon as I accepted the position of Chief.


Note that new Requests load daily and many of the ones that ask you to trade trophies give Lumber, Material Stone and Gold in return.  Access the Board before you sell items to any merchant or ship them.

Introduction to Guardians of Azuma Guide

Introduction: Please see my Walkthrough posts for a linear guide to this game. This is a complex and rewarding game.  I fell in love with the series when the first Rune Factory was released and my guides were being published by IGN.    How could one not love the idea of Harvest Moon that introduced a forge and combat?  Decades later, and a number of different handheld systems later, we have the greatest Rune Factory game since the incredible Rune Factory Frontier for the Wii.  In fact, it reminds me most of that game with similar beauty and rather profound emotional investment. Guardians of Azuma, although multi-layered and very complex, contains a wealth of tutorials and is much more forgiving in terms of goals.
