Fishing in Guardians of Azuma

Post in progress:
You will not be able to fish until you go to the Winter Village. Immediately meet Watarase who will give you a Fulishing Road and the Pescapedia, an encyclopedia of all the fish you catch. Catching every variety is a subsidiary ‘Pure Azuma’ Quest and gives rewards in the form of recipes at every milestone when you report back to Watarase.
Fishing has many different variables in every Rune Factory game, but I found this one more inconstant than others. Here are the factors:
First, Seasons. The four Villages are defined by the four seasons.
Weather: Some fish, like Taimen and objects like the Boot* appear to require rain. Actually did catch a Boot in the sky but the sky islands are not affected by weather.
Freshwater or Saltwater: This can be restricted to specific Seasonal Village locations simply because they have either a saltwater location or a freshwater one.
Quality of Fishing Rod
I am going to list the specific fish I caught at specific locations. Doing this after completion of Pescapedia so will not include earlier results unless I find verification in my journals.
Eastern Tri-Shell Island:
Boot*
(Is weather even a factor in the Sky? All I know is that every time I caught a about on Azuma, it was raining. On the sky island, no weather displays. It takes about 5 hours to fish out the area completely.
