Marrying the Same Person Twice
Guardians of Azuma I think is unprecedented in the number of variations you can experience where marriage and having children are concerned.
First of all, you can do the same as one always did in the past in Harvest Moon or Rune Factory by romancing every candidate and experiencing all of their Bonding or Heart events before proposing and marrying any one. I did that first here as well because I wanted to experience everything. I was rather wary of the Orb as well.
The Orb at the Fateweaver Shrine allows one to maintain game progress while changing your marriage and children.
You can have a total of two children and there are six possible children. All six have different physical characteristics and different personalities.
I now have used the Orb more than once. I married Ikaruga, Kai, Mauro and Subaru. I interrupted my fate with Ikaruga to return to Kai briefly after having only one child with Ikaruga. I discovered that one can do this without negative consequences. When I used the Orb to return to Ikaruga, I was able to have a second child with him.
I now have returned to the Orb to begin a new Fate in the same file as that with Ikaruga and Kai as Fates 1 and 2. And as I suspected, instead of choosing a new partner, I could declare my love to Kai, marry him and have different children if I wished.
