Second child timeline


(Kai’s comment on the same day Woolby tells you and Ikaruga that you are expecting a second child.)

​You can have two children in your marriage.  There is a timeline for this.  I am trying to test the effect of an interrupted date.

I had my first child with Ikaruga, then used the Orb to marry Kai.  Going back to Ikaruga created a tricky situation.  As I had two children with Kai, it now was Year 18, but the timeline pays no attention to that.  It only counts days.  

I wanted to see as well if I could go back to Kai to celebrate the Fire Festival with him and then return to Ikaruga to have the second child without delay or any issue.


On 16 Summer at 6.00 a.m. the first event occurred.  In this test, I stayed with Ikaruga until the 19th.

I left Ikaruga on 19 Summer in the evening without ever asking him to the festival.  I returned to the shrine in the Fate where Kai awaited me in time for dinner and ask him to the festival.

20 Summer:  I went through the process of making the purple super deluxe firework for Kai and spending the Festival with him.  Immediately after, on the same night, I went back to the afateweaver Shrine.  I discovered I could not return to Ikaruga.  I believe I did have the option to start a new Fate.

Incidentally, I tested colours:

Mysterious Fabric makes Purple

Mysterious Fur makes Orange

Large Fur makes Orange

Mysterious Pauldron makes Red

Curse Cluster makes Purple


21 Summer: When I went to the Fateweaver Shrine the next morning, I could return to Ikaruga.  On 22 Summer, we experienced the event where I asked him to accompany me back to the Shrine and then Woolby told us we are expecting a baby.  I did not save any of this as I neglected my chores and so on.


I played through to the 20th on one file, staying with Ikaruga.  This is the fellow who called my firework ‘the work of an amateur’ when I made one for him.  I need to see this if I can change that!


I am trying to make a white firework but it is impossible 


Daisy and white grass both make red.  Hibiscus, blade shard Tamahagane, hermit iron fragment, bamboo make red

Platinum, silver, ice crystal, Dragonic Stone, rock. Lustrous gem,  water crystal make blue

Dandelion, Light Crystal, Diamond, Exquisite Claw, Stong Claw, Quality Claw, thunder Crystal  makes yellow

Can, Strong Fang, Strong Fur makes orange

Soul cluster, Fletch, Exquisite Fabric  makes purple

Wind crystal makes green 


I tried Orange using Strong Fur and Deluxe.  Amazingly he loved it.


I then tried Lustrous Gem for Blue. But hit Medium by accident.  He disliked it and said it was the work of an untrained hand!


Tried water crystal deluxe but he said it was from an untrained hand as well.


He said the same for deluxe yellow.  I hate him more by the minute so will stop experimenting with him.


It seems to me now each individual respomds only to one colour.  Ikaruga likes Orange.

The size did not matter.  Only the colour!

When I did not leave Ikaruga and did not use the Orb on the 19th, I experienced the event to annoumce the pregnancy on the 21st instead of the 22nd.

How the Fateweaver Shrine Fates work in Guardians of Azuma

I read descriptions about this.  I read opinions of players who had different reasons for wanting or not wanting to do it. I am the sort of player who has back up files.  I saved a file at the point of planting the Plum Sapling where every eligible candidate was at Level 10, had gone through all Bonding Events and would accept my proposal if I made one. I went forward from there and married Kai, and had two children with him.  At this point, the game was given an update with new rewards and ability to increase Bond Levels.  In the file where I was married to Kai, I raised every character with a Profile to Level 12 to obtain a Life-sized Cut Out Recipe. All Villages were at Level 10 and I completed all the Pure Azuma Quests. I was promoted to god after returning the Heart Shards to Mihoshi Habaki. What I had not done was go through the Trials.
